“Do you ever notice that when you’re drawing or making something, the time flies by? Sometimes, it is just the process of doing something creative that is enjoyable, rather than the finished result. This is what creative mindfulness is all about.” Turner Contemporary
Creative mindfulness is the process of using creativity and creation to stimulate mindfulness and savouring. For example, painting and drawing, writing, journalling or even colouring in. You do not need to be a creative person to practise creative mindfulness: it is about relinquishing thoughts and being present in an activity - not the end result.
“Play comes naturally when we’re being kind and patient with ourselves. We have enough work in life – so allow yourself to explore and play.” Art of Mindfulness
